Is this program suitable for parents of children with different types of disabilities or specific challenges, like ADHD or autism
Absolutely! Whether you are brand new to special education or you have a child with a complex learning profile, you will get the step-by-step tools and supports to help you advocate effectively for your child.
How long does it take to go through the program, and how much time will I need to dedicate each week?
This program is self-paced for a reason. Each of you are on a journey and you set the pace. The modules themselves range in length, but the program can be completed in 8 weeks if you are able to set aside 30 minutes a day.
What if I encounter resistance from my child’s school? Will the program provide strategies to handle difficult conversations?
Differences of opinion exist. So yes, we have a lesson that covers how to navigate disagreements. I've also included a lesson on steps you should take in case you need to write a state complaint.
How soon can I start applying what I’ve learned in the program to improve my child’s IEP or advocacy efforts?
Right away! Each lesson includes action tasks related to work you will do on your child's case. As you have questions, you should jump into the Facebook group or come to a coaching call to get support on how to apply these skills to your child's case. And remember, if you have a pending TEAM meeting, you can always use the Quick Start Guide to work on key skills.
What if I don’t have the time to commit to a program right now—how can I still benefit from joining?

I still remember the nerves I felt walking into my very first IEP meeting as an advocate.
Despite having over a decade of experience writing IEPs, training teachers, and attending hundreds of meetings, being the advocate at the table felt completely different. The stakes were higher, and I was out of my comfort zone.
